As interior designer for the Ralph J. Pomeroy Senior Apartments — a building for seniors under the Chicago Housing Authority — KOO renovated the public spaces to create a warm and gracious hospitality aesthetic. Original terrazzo floors, molding, and doors were refinished, and architectural details were also restored to meet the requirements of historic tax credit funding. The interior design elements were selected to complement the period restoration while refreshing the space with contemporary finishes, furnishings, lighting, and accessories.
