KOO renovated the boutique Fairfield Inn & Suites in the Streeterville neighborhood of downtown Chicago with a custom renovation for the property’s 185 guestrooms and suites. Fifteen floors of guestrooms, guest baths and guest corridors were updated with head-to-toe custom casegood pieces ranging from blue crocodile headboards with exaggerated over-sized nail heads to laser-cut drapery valences. All public spaces such as the lobby, breakfast room, meeting rooms and exercise room also received a face-lift to create a more transitional look and feel throughout the hotel. The lobby space received a fresh new pod-style reception desks, with statement chandeliers that cast light patterns onto the ceiling and walls, creating an alluring new mood for the space.
